Class agenda for every week:

Week 1: Kasparov’s Masterpieces (April 2nd)

In the first week, we will set our discussion to one of the world’s most dangerous attacking players: Garry Kasparov. We will study several games where he creates a devastating attack on the enemy king.

Week 2: Karpov’s Masterpieces (April 9th)

In the second week, we will look at Karpov’s games. Karpov is an incredible prophylactic player who could almost always sense his opponent’s intentions. We will study many of his games where he denies all of his opponent's counterplay right from the start of the game.

Week 3: Kramnik’s Masterpieces (April 16th)

In the third week, we will look at Vladimir Kramnik’s games. Kramnik is a solid player that defends as hard as rock and can win a game with a microscopic advantage. We will study many interesting games of how he converts extremely simple positions and how he diffuses an attack.

Week 4: Anand’s Masterpieces (April 23rd)

In the fourth week, we will look at Viswanathan Anand’s games. Anand is an attacking player who is unbelievably fast at calculation. We will study many of his complicated games where he calculates like a machine.

Week 5: Carlsen’s Masterpieces (April 30th)

In the fifth week, we will look at the games of the current world champion, Magnus Carlsen is the type of player that loves activity. Also, he is the type of player that usually avoids opening duels and tries to bring his opponents in unfamiliar waters right from the start of the game. We will study many of this world champion’s games and try to dive deep into his thinking process.
