Tournament Description

We invite you to participate in our online chess class designed to learn or expand your knowledge of the French Defense for beginners and intermediate players. The duration of the class is 2 hours and 30 minutes and it will be held on Sunday, January 31st at 1:00 PM (Central Time) in a Zoom meeting.

Fide Master (FM) Rohan Talukdar is Canadian chess player that has had a deep passion for the game of chess from the age of 5. He has been consistently ranked among Canada's top rated players for his age group. From 2017 to 2019, he was a 3-time consecutive Canadian Youth Chess Champion and has represented Canada at 5 World Youth Chess Championships and 2 World Youth U16 Chess Olympiads. He is actively working towards becoming an International Master (IM) and has crossed the 2400 ELO barrier along with achieving 2 IM norms. In this class, he hopes to deliver thought provoking instructional classes that will allow the participants to improve their overall understanding of the beautiful game of chess.
